Tinubu picked the right team for NCC board, EVC says

Dr. Aminu Maida, Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), says President Bola Tinubu has appointed the “right team” to steer the affairs of the nation’s telecoms regulator, following the unveiling of the incoming Board.

Maida, in a congratulatory message seen by Technology Times, hailed the choice of Mr. Idris Olorunnimbe as Chairman-designate of the NCC Board, alongside other newly-appointed members, describing them as “highly esteemed individuals of proven competence” with the capacity to help advance Nigeria’s digital transformation agenda.

The NCC chief says the diverse expertise of the new Board members will provide “strategic insight and strong governance” to strengthen the Commission’s regulatory work and deliver on the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda for the country’s digital economy.
