Critical Flood Control Gate Rollers

In 1972, Florida created five water control districts that are mandated to prevent flooding in populated areas, restore environmentally sensitive areas to their natural form, and to ensure that there is adequate drinking water in a growing population. A series of flood gates controlled the flow of water.
