VPNArea is gone. The website fails to load and its social media accounts have gone mostly silent.

Nobody is sure why the website mysteriously vanished overnight. The company used to rank as one of the top VPN companies and garnered decently positive reviews from various users and websites, so it was a shock for many to see it simply disappear.

“Don’t know what is going on but the VPNs seems like they’ve been down for 2 days now,” writes one Reddit user.

“Another one bites the dust,” claims another.

VPNArea’s X (formerly known as Twitter) account stopped posting for nine days, starting on June 15. Making matters slightly more convoluted, VPNArea’s X account posted again on June 26, several days after the website vanished.

“Don’t miss out on your chance to secure your internet at a great price,” it said.

Even though VPNArea is advertising the sale, the website linked in their bio is dead. While the story is still developing, some companies used automated social media posts, which might keep posting, even if the website is down.

After seeing this brand new X post, I did a little bit of testing to make sure that the website wasn’t just regionally locked. Even after using a VPN to connect to different regions around the world, including Bulgaria (which is where VPNArea is based), I couldn’t access the website.

The company’s LinkedIn page is also gone. Due to the company making new social media posts, it’s not conclusive if VPNArea is completely gone or just having issues with its website.

If you’re currently a VPNArea subscriber, you might want to cancel your subscription and get a refund. You might be able to contact customer support using the defunct website’s support emails. Try support@vpnarea.com or billing@vpnarea.com.

Keep in mind that you may not hear back from them, much less get a refund if the company is truly gone. If you’re looking for a new VPN, you can look through our current highest-rated VPNs.
