Winery Cuts Energy Use in Treating Wastewater By 50%

The Castello Banfi winery, where the famous Brunello di Montalcino wine is produced, needed a new aeration system for its wastewater. With a solution from Xylem, including Sanitaire Silver Series II membrane disc diffusers and a Sanitaire TurboMAX turbo blower, the winery was able to cut the energy used by its wastewater treatment plant in half.
