Interswitch conducts disaster recovery exercise on Sunday

Interswitch today announced a planned Disaster Recovery exercise across the infrastructure of the leading provider of digital payment and commerce solutions.

Interswitch, which did not give details of the planned Disaster Recovery exercise across its infrastructure, says the exercise will be held on Sunday, March 19th, the payments technology company disclosed in an email to customers seen by Technology Times.

According to experts, companies perform disaster recovery for reasons ranging from ensuring business continuity; minimising downtime; protecting data and preventing loss; complying with regulatory requirements to maintain customers’ trust, among others.

According to experts, companies perform disaster recovery for reasons ranging from ensuring business continuity; minimising downtime; protecting data and preventing loss; complying with regulatory requirements to maintain customers’ trust, among others.

The exercise, Interswitch says, is scheduled to take place between 12:00 am to 05:00 am and during this period, customers may experience difficulties accessing some of the company’s services. 

Interswitch has apologised in advance for any inconvenience that may be caused by this exercise. The company also said that it understands how important it is to have uninterrupted access to its services and is taking all necessary steps to minimise the impact of the maintenance work.

Interswitch has assured its customers that it appreciates their patience and understanding during this time, and it looks forward to providing them with an even better service after the maintenance is completed.
