Lagosride unfolds transfer option for Lagos riders

LagosRide, the popular ride-hailing service in Lagos, has announced the launch of a new feature that allows riders to make payments through bank transfers.

The new option, called “Transfer,” provides users with a system-generated account number to which they can transfer their fare, the company announced in an email to users seen by Technology Times.

According to LagosRide, the new feature aims to make payments seamless and more convenient for its users. Riders can now choose to pay for their trips using the “Transfer” option and copy the provided account number to make a transfer from their bank account. The funds will be automatically credited to their LagosRide app wallet, and the fare will be deducted accordingly.

But there is a catch, the ride-hailing service warns users. “Please be informed that when you choose to make a transfer,” Lagride says, “only transfer money to the system-generated account number. Any other means of money transfer after your trip is to your detriment.”

To use the new feature, riders need to select the “Transfer” option when making a booking and copy the system-generated account number displayed on their screen.

LagosRide advises its users to only transfer money to the provided account number and not to use any other means of money transfer after their trip.

The launch of the “Transfer” option is expected to be welcomed by LagosRide users who prefer to make payments through bank transfers or who do not have access to cards or other digital payment methods.
