Forbes8 launches digital startup accelerator, calls for applications

Forbes recently launched its digital startup accelerator. According to the company, it is a Netflix for entrepreneurs community platform that provides access to its top business mogul community.

Powered by the Global Startup Ecosystem, Forbes claims this is Nigeria’s first digital startup accelerator.

The coronavirus pandemic has truly hit businesses hard and Forbes is asking founders questions like: “Was your business affected?” “Are you prepared for what’s to come next?”

To throw light on this, the company, via its digital accelerator, is looking to support businesses in Nigeria. This opportunity is for scaling companies, SME businesses and to show them “how to make it” and thrive in today’s pandemic-hit world.

A virtual accelerator, it will welcome 100 top companies from Nigeria and founders selected for the programme will undergo 4 intensive weeks of digital training to help build and scale their companies for the future. According to Forbes8, applications are still open and will close on May 26.

Those who get selected will have the opportunity to interact with more than 50 global speakers from Forbes, Linkedin, Google, IBM, as well as some top ecosystem builders in Nigeria. Also, startups selected will be able to access $100,000 in credits from AWS, Google Cloud among others.

Nigerian startups raised $55.4m in Q1 2020; over 99% of which came from foreign sources. Find out more when you download the full report.
