Tecno’s collaboration with luxury brand, Loewe, gave birth to a unique design feature of its new Camon 30 series smartphone: a back cover made from coffee grounds, according to the Chinese phone marker.

The innovation on the Tecno Camon 30, designed by Loewe, represents a departure from traditional materials, to showcase the phone maker’s commitment to sustainability and innovation in smartphone design.

The Tecno Camon 30 series offers a range of color options, including Iceland Basaltic Dark, Alps Snowy Silver, Uyuni Salt White, Emerald Lake Green, and Sahara Sand Brown.

The standout feature of the Camon 30 series Loewe edition, its back cover made from coffee grounds in a collaboration between Tecno and Loewe, was inspired by the life cycle of natural leaves. This featured a colour palette that represents the growth and life of a green leaf.

This innovative design is not only visually striking but also environmentally friendly, making it the industry’s first back cover made from coffee grounds, according to Tecno.

The phone brand emphasised that the collaboration with Loewe, a prestigious luxury brand with a long-standing history dating back to 1844, brings a wealth of expertise and creativity to the design of the Camon 30 series.

Under the guidance of Creative Director Jonathan Anderson, the Loewe Design Studio has played a pivotal role in shaping the distinctive aesthetic of the Camon 30 series Loewe edition, distinguishing it from other smartphones available in the market.

While the features of the Camon 30 series Loewe edition are similar to other models in the series, including the four small ring-shaped flash and camera enclosed in a large circle, the addition of the coffee grounds back cover adds a distinctive touch of luxury and sustainability to this innovative smartphone lineup.
